Durable Stacked Plate Design

Most B&M transmission coolers are constructed using a lightweight, aluminum stacked plate design that not only do a great job of displacing heat from the cooler’s body, but are highly durable against road debris and other foreign objects. The stacked plate style coolers offer an extremely rigid structure that helps prevent vibration induced cracks in even the most extreme racing situations.

PRESSURE TESTED FOR REAL-WORLD APPLICATIONS

All B&M cooling systems are pressure tested up to 200 PSI to ensure high quality for real world applications. The ability of the entire line up of B&M’s coolers to withstand these rigorous tests comes from their oven-brazed construction. A SuperCooler does not leave the factory unless it meets some of the highest standards in the industry.

B&M SuperCooler Low Pressure Drop System

An additional feature of the SuperCooler is the “Low Pressure Drop” design of the core of the cooler. When cold automatic transmission fluid encounters the cooler, an amount bypasses the stacked plate core because of the fluids higher viscosity, allowing it to directly return to the transmission.

This is beneficial in that the transmission is allowed to reach operating temperature more quickly, especially in cold climate areas. As the fluid warms up it acts as its own thermostat, the lowering of viscosity allows more fluid to be passed through the core, thus regulating the temperature.
